SRI RAMAKRISHNA MISSION VIDYALAYA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE

The college was started in 1964 with the blessings of Srimat Swami Madhavanandaji Maharaj and has completed 58 years of service to the student community and society. The college follows the great ideals placed before the country by Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, and Mahatma Gandhi. The Institution believes that the greatness of a man is to be judged by his attitude, outlook, and devotion along with the work he does.

The College has a Unique Mission of creating a transformative educational experience and enhancing constructive cognitive abilities among youth through appropriate strategies and techniques; developing qualities such as self-confidence, courage, strength, and integrity; enabling the youth employability through effective skill acquisition; promoting a positive attitude and imparting moral and social values through character-building; instilling traditional values in aligning with the ideals of the nation so as to build up their holistic personality through an integrated training of the head, heart, and hands.

The activities of the college are organized with these ideals and mission in view. During the last few years, the college has seen substantial development in its infrastructure and other facilities. The College is in its 40th year of autonomy. It offers 16 Under-Graduate programmes, 6 Post-Graduate programmes, 10 M.Phil Programmes, 10 Ph.D programmes, 105 extra credit and value-added courses. In addition to the prescribed curriculum, the college offers add-on courses. It was re-accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade in the year 2016 and ranks 48th  in National Institutional Ranking Framework. Also, the institution has secured the 51st rank in the Science category and the 20th rank in the Social Work category by India Today Best Colleges Ranking 2021.
